Al Miswak

I had two decaying teeth, gingivitis (decaying of the gums), tooth sensitivity and a whole lot of dental problems. I went to dentists, they filled my tooth and only one of my problems were solved. I still had gingivitis and tooth sensitivity and two of my other teeth started decaying as well.

When you grow up, two things are awful. First is balding and the second is decaying tooth. The pressure was immense! And the tooth pain that you have to go through is even horrible in its own way.

I started consulting the dentist again. He tried to fix my tooth many times and gave me a tooth paste called "Sensodyne", it didn't work so he wanted my tooth pulled off. I was upset to the next level. One, I have never pulled off a tooth and two is that the feeling that I am getting older.

I'm always a believer in natural remedies, so I started looking on the internet for natural ways to recover my teeth. I saw that many people have recommended "Miswak" as a good remedy for tooth decay. Oh well, we have a lot of it in Sri Lanka but we haven't cared enough to buy one and use it. Even if we did, only for a short period of time. Then I decided that I am going to use Miswak and brush it 5 times a day.

I never touched the bristle brush or tooth paste again. It's been more than 6 months now and praise be to Allah, my tooth is recovering, my gingivitis is almost gone, my tooth sensitivity has reduced or almost gone except when I drink something cold.

I feel that too many people are having dental problems these days. I don't know for what reason, but they do. I would recommend anybody to ditch the bristle tooth brush and ordinary Floride tooth paste (I've had people recommend non-floride tooth paste, but I am not sure if it works to a good extent. Some of the floride tooth pastes that you can get in the Sri Lankan supermarkets are "Sudantha", "Supirivicky" etc.) and start using a miswak.

There is also one other thing that I do to keep my teeth healthy every two weeks or so, it is called "Oil Pulling". I swish my teeth once in two weeks with Olive oil (you could use any other oil - Sesame oil, Coconut oil, Black seed oil etc.) to detox my teeth.

The above post is my personal recommendation, if anybody is having dental problems they can try this without running to the dentist as a first solution. Believe me it worked really well for me.

Alhamdulillah.
